Summary:

An internet campaign which is dedicated to the stigmatisation and self-stigmatisation of people in mental health crisis.


Aim:

The campaign is dedicated to the stigmatisation and self-stigmatisation of people in mental health crisis. The campaign is funded by the Ministry of Health.


Main stakeholders:

Famous persons talking on their experience with mental health issues. 


Issues addressed:

To define the concept of stigma and to present the right attitude towards this phenomenon. An attitude of support, not judgement. To raise awareness that people with disorders are ordinary people, like us, who need to be listened to and understood.


Outcome:

The interesting content in cooperation with mental health experts identified by the eFkropka Foundation were produced that an be used to awareness raising actions. These include articles and short educational videos. The organizers prepare part of these films with celebrities and influencers who have joined the campaign to share their experience. In candid and intimate conversations, they describe what the stigmatised person feels, what can and should be done to stop the stigma. In this way, the voice is given to the greatest experts – the people affected by stigma.


Sustainability:

Increased presence of persons with menta health issues in public domain.
