The Magic Firefly campaign has been an initiative promoted by FENACERCI since 1987 and is an awareness-raising campaign for the cause of inclusion and the promotion of the rights of people with intellectual disabilities and/or multi-disabilities.

Issues addressed:
The campaign’s slogan is “The Magic of Solidarity”, calling for everyone’s support. A mass fundraising campaign to support more than 25,000 people with disabilities who benefit from CERCI’s services.
Outcome:
On social media we identified support for the cause, including people saying they had been collecting fireflies since childhood.

There are expressions of support for the cause mentioning disabled children, and comments about the current material of the campaign symbol (rubber). Fenacerci responds specifically to all the questioning comments, including explaining why rubber was chosen and the legal limitations for doing so.
